Time to Downsize the Efforts
Sometimes you have to step back and ask yourself why you do what you do with your art creations. I’m fully retired, twice actually, and I create art because it’s my happy place. I never intended for my art to pay my bills, yet I constantly put my art out on many platforms with the hope of “selling something”
I finally looked at all the things I have my “fingers” into and decided that enough is enough and I need to quite the craziness and focus on what I really think is important. For me, it’s teaching and creating unique art in a unique way.
So I deleted one of the Instagram accounts, deactivated two Facebook pages, unhooked my primary art Instagram from Facebook so I’m not distracted with Facebook, let one of my professional photography groups expire and intend to exit two others when they expire.
I completely restructured my Smugmug account and removed the ability to purchase digital downloads, ai-assisted art works like my abstracts, and 85% of my other artwork and the only thing remaining is a small curated collection of about 20 artworks.
I added these same 20 artworks to my local gallery that I’ve been a member of for several years but had no artwork on-line with them.
My focus for the rest of 2026 is my Learning Center – adding more course content and producing some amazing complex composite artwork, some of which may be added to the curated collection on my Smugmug gallery.
I have one teaching engagement in Washington state the end of April and I plan to advertise my availability to teach at other conference; although most probably have their 2026 booking already arranged.

If you would like to check out my redesigned website where my gallery lives, it is here.
If you are interested in taking some courses on compositing or digital art, check out the Learning Center. I have some free classes you can start with. Here is the link.
And the new yet old GEOGALLERY here in San Antonio is here.
